Our goal is to be proactive in providing for the safety and health of the students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Western Michigan University. After $ 2,141,749 in budget cuts and loss of human resource, the aesthetic elements have been put aside. Cleaning windows, polishing floors, cleaning carpets, daily trash removal from offices and classrooms, daily vacuuming, dusting, and stairwell cleaning, and locking and unlocking doors, has been set aside. Daily priority service is being completed in restrooms, locker rooms, entry ways and corridors.
We have now completed reorganization and have completed the first year of servicing facilities during a 5:00 AM through 1:30 PM time frame. This is in compliance with the recommendations of the consultants who completed their assessment in 2003. We offer our sincere thanks to our clientele of students, faculty, staff, and visitors who have demonstrated understanding and patience in our efforts to support the University's mission.
